Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026
SwMacroFlow is a Windows desktop application that runs SOLIDWORKS macros on your own computer. It is free to download and use. There is no account, no licence, and no payment, so there is very little for this policy to describe.
The short version
We do not collect your CAD files, macro code, batch results, folders, file names, or SOLIDWORKS activity. The application does its work locally on your machine and does not report back to us.
What we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Ordinary website logs | GitHub Pages may process IP addresses, request timestamps, and similar server log data to serve the website and keep it reliable. |
| Email you send us | If you contact support, we use your email address and message content to reply. |
| Reviews you post | If you use the review form on the home page, we store the name, optional role, star rating, and comment you typed, so they can be shown on the site. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address, purely to rate-limit spam; the address itself is never written down and the hash cannot be turned back into it. A review is public the moment you post it, so please do not put anything private in one. |
That is the complete list.
What we do not collect
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no email address, no password, and no profile unless you choose to write to us or post a review. Posting a review does not create an account either — it stores only what you typed into the form.
- No device identifier. Because there is no licence to enforce, the application does not identify or fingerprint your computer in any way.
- No payment data. SwMacroFlow is free and there is nothing to buy. If you choose to donate, the payment happens entirely on the payment provider's own page, and no card, UPI, or bank details of any kind ever reach this website or the application.
- No CAD content. Your models, drawings, assemblies, file names, folder paths, macro code, and batch results stay on your computer.
- No application telemetry. The app does not report what macros you run or how you use SOLIDWORKS.
- No website analytics or advertising tracking. This website does not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
- No hardware inventory. We do not collect your computer name, serial numbers, MAC address, installed software, or SOLIDWORKS licence details.
- Your AI Copilot API key never reaches us. Copilot is bring your own key: we do not supply keys, and the key you enter is stored on your own machine and sent only to the AI provider you chose. What you send to that provider is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
Who processes it
This website is served by GitHub Pages. Reviews are stored by Supabase, which hosts the database behind the review form and is used for nothing else. Those two are the only third parties involved in running the site. The application itself contacts us only to check for updates, which tells us nothing beyond an ordinary web request.
How long we keep it
Website logs are retained by the hosting provider according to its own operational policies. Support emails are kept only as long as they are useful for the support conversation and ordinary record keeping. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove yours, or until we remove one for being spam or abuse.
Your choices
- You can browse the site, download the application, and use every feature without ever identifying yourself to us.
- You can ask us to delete your support emails, unless we need to keep them for a legal or security reason.
- You can ask us to take down a review you posted. Email us with enough detail to identify it and we will remove it.
Children
SwMacroFlow is a professional engineering tool and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or why, we will update the date at the top.
