Terms of Use
Last updated 14 August 2026
These terms cover SwMacroFlow, the Windows application, and this website. SwMacroFlow is free to download and use, with every feature included. There is no trial, no licence key, no activation, and no account.
Your licence to use it
- SwMacroFlow is provided free of charge, for personal and commercial use alike. We do not charge for it and there is nothing to buy.
- You get a non-exclusive right to use SwMacroFlow. Install it on as many computers as you like — there is no activation limit and nothing to move between machines.
- You may not resell SwMacroFlow, present it as your own product, or remove notices that identify the project.
- We may change or discontinue SwMacroFlow at any time. Because nothing is charged, no refund can arise from doing so, and any copy you have already installed keeps working.
Updates
- Every future version is free. There is nothing to renew and no update period to run out.
- New builds are delivered through the application's built-in auto-updater, and are also downloadable from the home page.
- We do not promise any particular number of updates, release schedule, or specific features in any future version.
AI Copilot
- AI Copilot is bring your own key. You supply an API key from an AI provider you choose; we do not supply keys and do not resell AI usage.
- That provider bills you directly for what you use, on their own terms. We are not a party to that arrangement and are not responsible for their pricing, availability, or terms.
- Your key is stored on your own computer. It is never sent to us. See our privacy policy.
- Review anything Copilot produces before you run it. AI output can be wrong. Macros and macro chains suggested by Copilot are your responsibility once you run them, exactly like macros you wrote yourself.
What SwMacroFlow does to your files
- SwMacroFlow runs macros you supply against files you choose. What those macros do is your responsibility. SwMacroFlow does not review them and cannot know what they will change.
- A batch can close documents that are already open in SOLIDWORKS, and unsaved work in them may be lost. Save and close your work before running a batch.
- Keep backups. Running an untested macro across many files is exactly as risky as doing the same operation by hand, only faster.
- You need your own installed and licensed copy of SOLIDWORKS. SwMacroFlow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Dassault Systemes.
Support
We can help with installation, application bugs, the bundled macro library, and the documentation we publish. We do not promise to write or debug your own VBA macros.
No warranty, and limits
SwMacroFlow is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it is free of defects or that it will work with every SOLIDWORKS version and configuration.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost data, lost profits, or business interruption arising from your use of SwMacroFlow. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use SwMacroFlow after a change means accepting the updated terms.
